Winter wonderland in SE Seattle

Kubota Garden is open every day of the year, free of charge, from dawn to dusk. During the winter months, visitors are encouraged to stay on the paths, and should wear shoes that are appropriate for the wet, cold weather.

Free public tours continue through the winter – 4th Saturday at 10AM. Dress for the weather and meet at the Entry Gate; come prepared to experience the magic of the quiet winter months.

Rain or Shine, Our Visitors Love the Garden

Despite construction on Renton Avenue which limited parking and a record October rainfall, Kubota Garden saw over 7,316 visitors pass through the Entry Gates from October 1 – October 31, a 33% increase over 2015. The same period in 2014 and 2015 saw 4,464 and 5,482 respectively.

Photographers and garden enthusiasts alike were treated to a wonderful display of fall color – a variety of shrubs, Japanese maples, ginko trees and other colorful deciduous trees. Mark your calendar and join us next October!
