About the event

Enjoy an energetic afternoon of live Japanese cultural performances at Kubota Garden. Bring your family, friends and a picnic! There will also be a raffle!

Location: The program will take place at Kubota Garden's Terrace Overlook. Once you arrive at the Garden, follow the signs to the event.


Parking: Parking at the Garden is available but limited. There is additional street parking on 55th Ave S and Renton Ave S. As with all public parks, we encourage you to leave valuables at home. If you must bring them, store them out of sight before you reach the Garden.


What to expect: This performance is two hours featuring three taiko groups and a dance performance. Attendees are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs or picnic blanket. Volunteers will be present at the event to answer any questions. Be sure to also check out the raffle table for themed prizes! Raffle tickets will be on sale at the event ($5 for one ticket, $20 for five tickets.)


Accessibility: A shuttle service is available from the Garden's Entry Plaza to the Terrace from 12:30pm - 1pm and from the Terrace back to the Entry Plaza from 2:30pm - 3:30pm. If you plan on utilizing this shuttle service, please email sophia@kubotagarden.org.
